“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Threads of Connection
THREADS OF CONNECTION is a textile collection inspired by Niuean flora, embroidery techniques, and traditional motifs and colours. Influences were also drawn from cherished items in Niuean culture. The project highlights the lack of visibility of Niuean material culture through intricate digital embroidery, digital print, and screen print, creating versatile designs for interior objects like wall hangings, quilts, and cushion covers.
