This title sequence is a redesign for an episode of the television series “American Crime Story”. It deals with the case of fashion designer Gianni Versace, who was murdered by a serial killer in 1997. In order to create a visual link to the content, the sequence shows fleeting impressions of the fashion world, historical documents and Versace’s glamorous lifestyle. The speed of the sequence, underscored by a hammering beat, is conceived to create tension typical of the genre. Featuring many dazzling colours, the blurred motifs reflect the aesthetics of the show and pique curiosity about the events.
