The project Soul of Seoul creates a new visual concept to represent the South Korean capital. The illustrations juxtapose tradition and modernity. Ancient symbols and well-know characters from regional fairly tales are presented in close connection with today’s Seoul. Famous landmarks of the city, such as the Olympic Stadium, are depicted realistically and surrounded by colourful, fairy tale-like characters. Thus, the posters show a warm and vibrant face of the city, which, rooted in tradition, creates its future.
