Song – Mountain Tea

This tea packaging has been created for a brand based on culture from the Chinese Song Dynasty. In order to artistically convey the notions of high mountains and the charcoal-baking processing of the tea, three different designs and colours have been selected. They each visualise a different tea concentration, while the images can be connected and combined. The burned mark design of the packaging has been scanned from the real firing mark and then embossed using laser engraving so as to represent the layer upon layer appearance of mountains. At the same time, it also reflects the texture of traditional Chinese ink painting.
