SLK Roadster
Developed with a clear sense for the continuation of brand-typical aesthetics, this roadster represents the third generation of the SLK series. The first feature to catch the eye is the upright radiator grille with its star prominently situated. This clear, new brand face demonstrates vividly how brand identity is staged by design: a connection to the original SL from 1954 and to the current SLS AMG is clearly recognisable. A long bonnet with rearward, light-catching contours hints at the roadster’s dynamic qualities. The driver’s cabin optically appears to be almost resting upon the rear axle and, together with the short rear end, offers fascinating proportions. Inside, the typical sports car cockpit is distinguished by precisely finished materials of supreme quality. Four round, galvanised air outlets – integrated into the dashboard and borrowed from the SLS in terms of form – additionally emphasise that this model well and truly belongs to the sports car family.
