The Chinese have a long history of appreciating and collecting stones. This exhibition brings together stones from different regions of the country that have been collected over the past 10 years. The entire visual design of the exhibition uses contemporary compositions and illustrations to also appeal to a younger target group and spark their interest in a traditional subject. The design picks up a gesture from the well-known “Rock Paper Scissors” game in that it uses a fist to represent a rock. This unusual visual language is aimed at being provocative and generating conversation among a broad public.
