Shevchenko National Prize
The Shevchenko Prize is a major cultural award in Ukraine, named after the poet and writer Taras Shevchenko. The core idea for the new visual identity was born out of his inspiring personality and the cultural context in which he lived. The key visual builds on this energy and symbolises a ray that permeates culture. The foundation for the visual identity is Ukrainian baroque, an eclectic era in Shevchenko’s time. Thus, different shapes and colours are used for each laureate and their art to highlight each unique talent. This approach allowed the design to be flexible and convey the meaning of the cultural award.
