The rattlechain necklace is based on one single element: a circular ring. During the manufacturing process, two elements at a time are pinned together with the coloured sides facing outwards, and the wood-like surface of the inside is also visible in places. The material used, Resopal, is made of 65 per cent paper; it is hard, scratch-resistant and ultra-light at the same time. The chain attains its liveliness from the interplay of the changing colours.

The unconventional use of the Resopal material displays the innovative character of this chain, which simultaneously surprised and fascinated the jury.
