R & D Cocktail Lab

The R & D Cocktail Lab bar combines Eastern and Western influences. It is impossible to look in from the outside which helps to create a mystical atmosphere. Inside, British pub culture fuses with oriental style. This is brought to the fore through the use of wooden latticework, Chinese herbal medicine cabinets and a quote from the “Bencao Gangmu”, the book of healing herbs. The elongated architectural style, noticeable for example in the counter area, is emphasised through the use of mirror-like materials and the arrangement of the pendant lights.

Statement by the Jury

The design of the R & D Cocktail Lab bar plays with elements from different cultures and achieves a successful symbiosis of Orient and Occident.
