The trams are designed to achieve new standards for sustainable urban transport, are personalised for local conditions and traveller needs, and aim to complement Qatar Foundation’s modern architecture. The exterior comprises straight lines and dark windows set against pristine white shapes. Sunshades and dark thermic glass offer travellers a comfortable ride. The tram interiors are designed to create a light and spacious experience. Subtly-styled seat fabrics and well-detailed stanchions are further examples of the high design quality.

Statement by the Jury

The QF Avenio Tram impresses with an aesthetic and high-quality formal language. Due to very well considered details, it was optimised for use in the hot climate of Qatar.
