Purity and Peacefulness

This project is situated on the side of a hill in an exclusive residential area with beautiful views of the mountains. The building has three floors. The first floor, built into the hillside, becomes a platform and merges with the natural surroundings. The entrance is reached by crossing a bridge. The open space reduces the monumental feeling of the stone building. The lobby is open plan with the bar and VIP area both visible from the entrance. In the right-hand corner the lobby is connected to the basement level that has a separate entrance for easy access and is used for storage purposes. The staircase leading to the second floor allows the visitor to see the mountains from differing viewpoints.

Statement by the Jury

The both clever and distinctive embedding of the building into the landscape and the open-plan room concept create a sense of natural atmosphere and a generous feeling of space.
