Product Design Methods - A method collection based on 250 international thesis projects from industrial design.

Back Download

The methods found in the thesis projects of some of the world’s best up-and-coming product designers have been gathered in this box. The objective of the project was to gain insight into their design methods and processes, so as to inspire and assist students and young professionals in developing their own designs. Designers from established product companies and design studios contributed their degree projects to bring this educational box to life. Its content provides a solid foundation of tools that can be used from the first semester to the master’s degree. At the start, it will primarily serve as a reference to learn about product design methods. As the students’ projects become more complex, it can be used as a project management tool. Visualisation aids workflow coordination whether working alone or in a group. With all cards visible at a glance, processes can be easily customised to meet the needs of each project, making it the ideal tool for agile project management. Because it’s a cross section of 250 thesis projects, the box is literally an ‘industrial design degree for the pocket’.
