The handheld Poynt 5 payment terminal accepts payment via magnetic stripe cards or chip cards, NFC payments via smartphone, and it scans barcodes and QR codes. The rear of the housing unit features a smooth surface, making the device pleasant to hold. A softly curved projection at the top contains the scanning hardware and a speaker, and it prevents the terminal from slipping out of the user’s hand. Conveniently positioned power and scan buttons permit easy thumb and forefinger access.
