The metal and bio-resin casing, a large display with a slim surround and the powerful battery are integrated into the practical and lightweight construction of the Pixel 5 smartphone. The matt finish of the casing contrasts with the polished metal of the buttons and is inspired by natural materials such as stone and ceramics.

Statement by the Jury

In addition to sophisticated technology, the design focuses on sustainability, which is reflected in the casing made of recycled aluminium and bio-resin as well as in the components made of recycled plastic.
