Kitchen design has always been a reflection of the times. Take for example the Frankfurt kitchen of 1926, which set out to create a multifunctional environment where one could work efficiently. The concept behind the Pia kitchen system defines the kitchen as a functional oasis of calm, which aesthetically enhances the home. Designed with gently rounded corners, this kitchen system looks as if it has been framed by an all-encompassing delicate passepartout. This frame is painted and covered at the edges with a decorative durable stainless steel border. The Pia kitchen system design idea allows for numerous versatile configurations that will combine to form an impressively coherent unified concept. But this kitchen system is also functional and makes access and storage easy. The front panels are available in all RAL colours in matt, diamond lacquered and high-gloss finish to adapt to changing and specific user requirements. With its clear lines and finely rounded corners, the Pia kitchen system harmoniously suits contemporary architecture. Its design awakens a feeling of harmony in those using and working in it.
Statement by the Jury
The central design element – the circumferential passepartout – is what stands out when you look at the Pia kitchen system. It is well balanced in its form and is versatile so that it will suit any architectural setting. The high quality of the materials is combined with a high degree of convenience in everyday use.
