Brand Store
Papyrus Gwanggyo
Located in the Gwanggyo Galleria in Suwon, South Korea, this brand store for Papyrus, an optician and retailer of luxury eyewear, aims to address a predominantly female target group. Soft colours and matt acrylic surfaces were used to create an elegant and airy ambience. All functional areas – from eye examination to the assembly and storage of the glasses – are part of the store which has neither walls nor doors. The open layout is a reference to local history as it is inspired by the traditional stone-building method used for Hwaseong fortress, a Unesco World Heritage Site in the region.
