Optical Fiber Fusion Splicer

Back Download

This is a device used in optical cable construction and maintenance of optical communication. Its working principle depends on a high-pressure arc to melt two fibres cross-section, and at the same time, to merge two optical fibres into one by gently pushing the high precision motion mechanism. Through structural innovation, the size of the wind-proof cover is reduced and more space is provided to expand the size of a touch screen. The full-screen operating mode provides a more intelligent user experience. With the addition of a detachable handle, the portability of the machine is also enhanced. This device reinvents the traditional practice of placing a fluorescent lamp on the fusing part of the general fusion splicer. Instead, the fluorescent lamp is placed on the wind-proof cover, which reduces the size of the fusion splicer. Considering the machine is the same size, a bigger touch screen brings a better operation experience. The rear-mounted metal handle also enhances the portability of the machine. To begin the operating procedure, pre-set the touch screen after starting up. Then, open the wind cover and the fixture before inserting the optical fibre. The welding will be automatically done after wind cover is completely covered. Remove the fibre upon welding completion and place the fibre on a heat shrinkable tube with an added heating element to fix the weld interface. When the heating is complete, remove the fibre to cool.
