The Melsec iQ-R Series has been developed specifically for automated machinery control carried out by less experienced staff. The housing is wider at the front in order to provide more space for the control and display unit. This makes printed characters easier to read, and the dot matrix LEDs can be expanded to form a larger display. The LEDs for the indication of errors are clearly positioned in a horizontal row at the top of the device. The controls and the wiring are situated behind a cover that opens vertically and swings completely out of the way.
