Meitie

MEITIE is an intelligent hardware product that has the ability to print out customisable sticky tapes via a mobile APP. The hardware comprises a PBC board, power supply, printing output unit and others. The software consists of three modules—information collection, information conversion and information transmission. The idea for MEITIE is based on current consumer trends and demands for personalisation of functional and technological products. In addition to creating personalised patterns, an APP intervention also provides a social platform for sharing and exchanging of tape designs, tips and tricks.
