Pendant Luminaire
Pendant Lamp
Koralle
The initial idea for the Koralle pendant lamp was to create an aesthetically attractive, but nonetheless simple, inexpensive and sustainable product; in other words, a Low-Tech or No-Tech product. The design of the lamp collection and the material used therefore represents a complete break with the complex production process and a rejection of innovation by means of technique and material. 24 segments, made of white screen-printing cardboard, are attached to two slotted disks and fixed in place with two rubber rings, resulting in a charming and sturdy lamp. Inside it, a translucent paper-cylinder softly diffuses the light and avoids glare. A disc, a segment, an O-ring – that’s all there is to the entire lamp and how it works.
