JUMBOt

JUMBOt is a coding educational robot that teaches children the fundamentals of logical and computational thinking. It is the best learning tool for helping children understand the principles of hardware and software in a simple and enjoyable manner. The robot’s name is derived by adding the word ‘robot’ to the Korean word ‘jum’, which means dots. Despite the robot’s compact size, the name JUMBOt conveys the feeling of a large heroic character. JUMBOt’s appearance and size are best suited to children’s learning patterns and behaviour. For JUMBOt’s external characteristic, the team wanted to show a mysterious but cute creature whose species, gender, age and planet are unknown. Also, the emotional aspect of the product, rather than its technical aspects, is the most important of its product characteristics. The pattern of the wheel produces different visual effects depending on the speed the wheel that is moving. Aside from the examples given, various designs in various themes can be applied. Other key features include: precise angle and position control, colour recognition and line tracing, sound recognition, obstacle detection and drop prevention, and so on.
