iPod mini
The iPod mini digital music player is smaller than the previous iPod and has roughly the footprint of a business card. At 3.6 ounces, it is about 2 ounces lighter than the regular iPod, yet holds about 1,000 songs or a whole of 4 GB of data. The newly developed Click Wheel has the same ease of use as that of the iPod with the buttons integrated in the wheel itself, thus saving space. The unit connects directly to a computer via a USB 2.0 or FireWire cable. At a speed of about ten seconds per CD of music, the iPod mini then downloads music tracks automatically into its internal memory. The battery charges over the same USB 2.0 or FireWire cable and offers a battery life of eight hours when fully charged. The housing consists of stain-resistant anodised aluminium, and is coloured in five different colour hues: silver, green, pink, blue and gold.
