AI-Directed Multi-Camera System
Huddly Crew
Smart Technology with a Minimalist Design
Video conferences have become a permanent feature of working life. For communication involving more than the mere exchange of information, it is important to be able to establish social relationships during the conversation. When the participants of a meeting have the feeling of being truly included regardless of their different viewpoints and backgrounds, they find it easier to work together efficiently and come up with creative solutions. Huddly Crew is an innovative, AI-directed multi-camera system with a pared-back design that was developed to make people feel more engaged during video meetings. Inspired and trained by TV producers, an AI-based director integrated into the camera system swaps between the cameras and decides which footage is most suitable to show at certain times. The video thus follows the flow of the conversation and supports the way people communicate. The combination of several cameras and multiple viewing angles allows conference participants to speak at any time without having to think about whether they are facing the camera at that moment. Furthermore, the modular and compact design of the technology adapts to different meeting scenarios. Thanks to flexible mounting options, the camera system can be used on the wall as well as on a shelf or table. For optimal user guidance, the cables and knobs on the floor mount are coloured. In its simplicity, the otherwise subtle and technical-looking design is fully in keeping with the functionality of the AI-directed multi-camera system. The jury was thrilled with “this minimalist approach that places the emphasis on the innovative and impressive technology”. It continued, “Meeting rooms often look very chaotic and cluttered. The beauty of Huddly Crew lies in its simplicity. The product is not only very discreet but has also been designed and manufactured to an exceptional standard.”
