Het Scheepvaartmuseum
The National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam (Het Scheepvaartmuseum), which looks back on a rich history, has reinvented itself with an innovative exhibition concept. Located in a former arsenal, built in 1656, the east wing of the museum is dedicated to the most valuable exhibits in the collection, presenting them in seven themed galleries. A unique spatial arrangement with a distinctive atmosphere was developed for each gallery, using the exhibits as a starting point
as they are integral to the respective settings. Digital media are integrated seamlessly into the exhibition presentation.
