Halo is a smart, 'home-style’ microwave oven that breaks the mould of traditional microwave ovens to create a warmer atmosphere in the home. Its customisable appearance allows the oven to integrate really well into any residential space and style. It also has an emotional light interaction feature that senses the psychological and emotional state of a user to create more resonance between the user and the product. Secondly, Halo is operated via intelligent controls – a metal microporous panel and a magnetic smart dial. Halo collects various operational data through the magnetic smart dial, which will help household appliances collectively understand and establish a model of the user's eating and living habits. The magnetic smart dial (control panel) on the microwave oven is detachable and can be attached to different appliances to read various stored data. For example, it can figure out the recipe of the day by registering the available ingredients in the refrigerator and their nutritional information. When the magnetic smart dial notices that the user has taken too much fat or sugar in the past week, the microwave oven will recommend a healthier menu or method. The more the dial is used, the more intuitive and considerate it gets. When the oven is cooking, a light in the oven cavity also ‘breathes’ in changing brightness and rhythm, allowing the user to see the cooking progress and remaining cooking time from a distance.
