Greenland Mingjing Bay
The interior design of the Greenland Mingjing Bay culture centre in Yichun, China, is based on the concept of the void, a key element of Zen Buddhist ideology. The design therefore employs large amounts of both spatially and visually empty spaces. Starting from the high ceiling, it plays with numerous symmetrical structures which, in combination with concise lines and elegant materials, specifically embody the aesthetics of Zen Buddhism. Decorative objects and art installations furthermore give the rooms a contemporary oriental touch.
