This task chair is the result of a global study on postures, which observed people in eleven countries in different environments such as offices, airports and cafés. It identified nine new postures which are directly linked to the use of modern media. As an interface between the user and technology, Gesture picks up the movements involved in this and translates them into a form of contemporary design.
Statement by the Jury
The approach that our type of work influences our seating posture is highly innovative. The result is a functional and stylish design.
