Geode
Geode is more than a chair; it offers a flexible retreat in a busy office or co-working space. In a noisy, busy office, people need a way to escape and focus. When it all gets too much and a break is needed, Geode provides a place to snuggle up and read, test an application or simply clear an email backlog in a relaxing position, before getting back to further tasks at the desk.
Geode is an intimate, cosy and quiet place that keeps out audible and visible distractions, providing users with seclusion and a sense of privacy within a busy workplace. It is constructed with 70% recycled lightweight acoustic absorbent material, and the unique geodesic shape reduces internal and ambient noise. Pairs or larger groups of Geodes can be combined for a collaborative breakout space. When not in use, Geode is an aesthetically pleasing sculpture that breaks up the monotony of an office, beckoning you to come and make a short escape.
The aim is to solve conventional workplace issues by exploring how users interact with furniture. With Geode, users can adapt and change the format to suit their needs. The inside curves allow the user to ease into their ideal ergonomic position, with the freedom to roll the Geode over into 4 alternative positions, which can brings play and interactivity into the workplace. Geode – It’s another world inside your office.
