These multifunctional printers are not operated with ink cartridges but rather use refillable ink tanks. The tanks with fill-level indicators for the individual colours are easily accessible at the front of each device, promoting an easy reading of the ink level in each tank. When refilling the tanks, operational errors are eliminated since the ink bottles are equipped with different openings only fitting the correct ink tank.
