Private Living Space
Entry into Forest
The dominant design element for this interior is the horseshoe-shaped sofa which is placed centrally, in front of the large windows in the living area. Its ample proportions convey the hospitality of the commissioning client. The window is covered with a cladding consisting of slats that let in light from outside and also create interesting shadows. In line with the idea of an open-plan layout, the living area is not separate, but flows seamlessly into the kitchen and office area.
Statement by the Jury
This interior décor creates a living area which is a generous, communicative focal point that provides a great welcome and signals hospitality.
