E-lock is intended primarily for large Chinese families that are looking for a combination of convenient door opening and smart home security. The design of the input field and user interface is focused on their needs and everyday behaviour patterns. The clean, linear use of forms makes entering a code or finger scanning easy. The lock, which complements the manufacturer’s proprietary smart home system, is made of extruded aluminium and is both pleasant to the touch and presenting a genteel look.

Statement by the Jury

The user-oriented design of the E-lock stands out for its family friendliness. It is also a useful extension of the manufacturer’s smart home system.
