Many people suffer from bad eyesight but have no access to ophthalmology or cannot afford individually customized glasses. The DOT Glasses were developed to give people with eyesight problems the world over access to optical aids in the form of affordable corrective glasses. Although they only come in one size, these simply designed glasses use an innovative eyeglass concept which allows them to be adapted to the individual needs of the glasses wearer in just a few minutes.

Statement by the Jury

These glasses focus chiefly on a utilitarian purpose. The well-thought-out concept of the easily adjustable DOT Glasses is as straightforward as possible. Their major attraction is the underlying human-centred design.
