Sustainable Packaging
Crop Protector
The golden apple snail is a highly invasive species, which causes much damage to crops in Asia. With a special ring made from rice husk and tea seed meal, this stake protects seedlings from the hungry creatures. The roots are stabilised with a straw fibre shell. As the fibre material decomposes in the soil, it also has a fertilising effect. A functional yet attractively designed packaging reflects the product’s sustainable nature. The portable box is made from biodegradable, recycled cardboard, effectively absorbs shocks during transportation and can be taken apart to serve as a tray for seedlings.
