Cráneo Organic Mezcal

The organic and artisanal brand values of Cráneo Organic Mezcal needed to be communicated by a sustainable packaging design. The use of hand-blown glass was chosen to ensure that the bottles are made from 100 per cent recycled glass. Furthermore, the labels are produced from recycled paper, printed with soy-based inks and pasted to the bottles with vegetable-based glue. Also, wooden caps with natural cork are used. Even the artwork has been carved by hand into the wood; and in order to give the label a real handcrafted feeling, the carvings have been embossed into the label. Only black and white were selected for the design, symbolising pureness and transparency.
