Bukak-Maeul

Bukak-Maeul is a company that makes and sells Kimbukak, a traditional Korean seaweed snack. A natural-looking corporate design was created to convey one of their USPs – their manual manufacturing process that takes place in cooperation with local villagers. From product packaging to stationery, the design features a coherent colour palette with delicate patterns. These patterns were inspired by the structure of seaweed, whose growth rings are similar in cross-section to those of trees. In addition to the rings, the logo shows the wavy silhouette of heartwood, whose stability symbolises the company’s core values.
