Blocbirds is inspired by nature: the 25 square-in-square illustrations graphically reflect the plumage of European birds and capture their colours and composition in squares. The amount of colours, their diversity, position and their relationship to each other give each individual bird and each installation its unique, characteristic plumage. The installation is accompanied by stuffed birds, matching their graphical counterpart. This artful combination of illustration and bird life opens the eyes of the observer to nature and its beauty.
