BEETS, ROSES AND THE MEANING OF LIFE – RE[’RU:]TING HILDESHEIM

The city of Hildesheim released this book as part of its application to become a European Capital of Culture 2025. Carefully selected and edited images guide readers from chapter to chapter. A special, experimental binding and neon Pantone colours underscore the city’s cultural attributes and its aim to become a Capital of Culture. Starting from the laser-engraved Finnboard cover with a premium feel, a neon magenta thread runs through the book. Important facts are presented in a reader-friendly and appealing way and blurred images create a contextual reference to the future, which is never crystal clear.
