Bastardo Organic Tequila Liqueur features a packaging design that follows the concept of complete sustainability regarding all parts. The artwork on the labels is created by hand, with wood carvings stipulating complete sustainability. The bottles are hand-blown from 100 per cent recycled glass. The idea behind this was not only to translate the organically produced spirit, but also to communicate the brand story, craftsmanship and cultural heritage. The artwork pays homage to time-honoured Mexican beliefs and traditions, indulging in an affair of the agave heart, based on a myth about the forbidden love between gods.
