Describing this product as footwear would be an understatement: these sports shoes boast a phenomenal surface design. It is drip-glazed like porcelain, creating an enamel-like feel and intensifying the white colour. Dirt does not stick, and cleaning is easy. The process is reminiscent of China’s historical porcelain production. Ru ceramics were only produced for a short period of time, and the exclusive masterpieces were reserved for the imperial family. The jury was impressed by the fact that this technology, which has since become a cultural legend, now refines the outer material of a state-of-the-art sports shoe that is available to everyone.
