Allium Pergola
This small pavilion takes its name from the root shape of bulbous plants and is an eye-catcher in public spaces. Allium Pergola emulates this shape in an artistic way. The form is made possible by the use of high-pressure laminate that can be bent in the required way. Inside, the circular seating invites passers-by to stop and rest awhile. In the centre, organically shaped wooden columns complete the impression of a bulbous plant, but also serve as a possible support for plants such as vines.
Statement by the Jury
With its organic form language and seemingly natural appearance, this pavilion skilfully draws attention to itself in an urban environment.
