Agile FAT

Agile FAT, a fibre access terminal located near the end users, is used to bring high-speed network services to them. Unlike traditional FATs, Agile FAT uses pre-connectorised fibre connectors. Carriers no longer need to perform labour-intensive fibre splicing at the user communities during drop fibre rollout. Agile FAT uses AR technique, which makes it easy to maintain. By scanning AR codes with a mobile terminal, the maintenance personnel can obtain the operating status information about each fibre connector without interrupting services. When faulty ports are detected through scanning, troubleshooting suggestions are given. This is helpful in fast locating and troubleshooting faulty ports.
