Spanish Red Dot winners: exhibition “¡Viva el Diseño!” in Zaragoza

Already since 11 May 2016, the exhibition “¡Viva el Diseño! Red Dot winners from Spain” is on show in the Museum Pablo Serrano in Zaragoza, Spain. The Red Dot Design Museum Essen in Germany organizes it jointly with the Centro Aragonés de Diseño Industrial (Cadi) and the Instituto Aragonés de Arte y Cultura Contemporáneos (IAACC PABLO SERRANO). Until 18 September 2016, the presentation gives an overview of the contemporary understanding of design in Spain and underlines its international charisma.

Products, communication designs and concepts

“¡Viva el Diseño!” shows a broad selection of current innovations: In the exhibition, visitors meet among others furniture, lighting and designs for public spaces. Besides examples from the field of industrial design, creative projects illustrate how to skillfully communicate in a visual way today. Moreover, Red Dot awarded design concepts document a vision of the future.

Excellent: Spanish designers and manufacturers

Characterised by a richness of forms, colours, materials and stylistic concepts, design from Spain is very popular, even cross-border. Between the poles of tradition and modernity, balanced designs arise which convince with ease. The results of the Red Dot Award prove the success of Spanish designers and manufacturers: To date, 128 products by Spanish designers and manufacturers have won a prize in the Red Dot Award: Product Design. 31 works received a distinction in the Red Dot Award: Communication Design and 10 concepts and prototypes in the Red Dot Award: Design Concept.
