Red Dot Award: Product Design - These are the Winners’ Benefits (Part 2/4)
The registration for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016 is on. Winning the Red Dot opens the doors for manufacturers and designers to a worldwide network and offers exclusive options for communicating their success. The winners’ benefits are, amongst others, the certificate, respectively the Red Dot Trophy for laureates of the Red Dot: Best of the Best, and the presentation of the successful products and its makers in the Red Dot Design Yearbook.
Certificate & Red Dot Trophy
On the day of the Red Dot Gala, the Red Dot: Best of the Best laureates receive their certificates already in the early afternoon. During a specially organised reception, a professional photo shooting takes place, which puts the awardees and their certificates in the limelight. In the evening, they receive their well-deserved Red Dot Trophies in front of 1,200 audience members on stage of the Aalto-Theater in Essen, Germany.
The Red Dot and Honourable Mention winners receive their well-deserved certificates during the Designers’ Night in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen in Germany. The great moment will be captured with a photo shooting. Winners use the photograph in their communications.
Red Dot Design Yearbook
For many years now, the yearbooks of the Red Dot Award have been considered international reference works for excellent design. Companies, journalists, architects, planners, and designers use the books for their day-to-day work and keep them as collectors’ items and an archive of award-winning designs.
The world of design in three volumes: “Living”, “Doing” and “Working” are three quite different yet equally fascinating books. Together, all volumes give a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and trends in product design.
Each individual volume covers a specific area of life: “Living” comprises the categories from the area of living and household goods, “Doing” is devoted to the products relating to technical objects and to “doing” in the broadest sense, and “Working” presents products from the fields of work and technology. All publications of the Red Dot Edition are available in the Red Dot Shop.
