Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015 - Regular phase is ending soon!
Only until 21 May, creative talents have the chance to register for the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015 during the regular phase. Afterwards, the last time frame to enter the creative competition will be open until 19 June. The search is for the most innovative communication designs within 17 categories, which will face the assessment of renowned representatives from the design world. This year’s jury comprises, among others, Michel de Boer and Johnason Lo.
Long-time jury member Michel de Boer enriches the panel with the expertise from almost 30 years of experience in corporate design, brand identity and graphic design. Johnason Lo will make his debut as a jury member. The Red Dot winner is founder and creative director of JL DESIGN, the first motion graphics studio in Taiwan. Apart from rebranding global channels such as HBO Asia and Disney Channel Taiwan, he is one of the three curators for the 2015 Creative Expo Taiwan and has also been speaker at design forums such as Central Taiwan National Art Exhibition and TEDxTaipei Rising Star.
Participating designers and agencies, freelancers or companies, who will convince the experts with their works, will be honoured with one of the sought-after individual awards: the Red Dot, the seal for high design standard, the Red Dot: Best of the Best, the distinction for highest design quality, and the Red Dot: Grand Prix, the highest individual award of the competition. Moreover, the Red Dot: Agency of the Year and the Red Dot: Client of the Year will receive awards for special achievements. The Red Dot Award: Communication Design also provides a platform for up-and-coming designers. The best piece of work of an apprentice, a student or young graduate will be decorated with the Red Dot: Junior Prize along with prize money of 10,000 EUR. In 2015, the software company Adobe sponsors the young talents award.
On 6 November, the competition’s winners will receive their trophies on stage of the glamorous Konzerthaus Berlin. Afterwards, the international design industry will celebrate together at the Designers’ Night in the E-Werk in Berlin, Germany.
