China Good Design: application until 25 July and 50 free registrations

China Good Design is in full swing: Until 25 July 2017, designers and manufacturers from all over the world can hand in their products for the competition, organised by Red Dot and the Xiamen Media Group, and thus win one of fifty free registrations. All products that were manufactured within an industrial production process, can be assessed by the international expert jury. The aim is to highlight high-quality products, manufactured by global companies, on the Chinese market and to recognise their outstanding quality.

Already in April, the registration period started for the “Early birds”. After the deadline for applications at the end of July, the jury consisting of 12 designers, professors and trade journalists – among them Gordon Bruce, Vivian Wai-kwan Cheng and Prof. Stefan Diez – will evaluate the products independently in September and award prizes to the best and most innovative products submitted. The award ceremony will take place during Xiamen International Design Week from 3 November to 5 November 2017. Here, leading designers from around the world encounter manufacturing Chinese companies. On 3 November, Red Dot CEO Prof. Dr. Peter Zec will honour the laureates together with the jurors, followed by the Designers’ Night where all involved parties will celebrate this year’s prize winners. The day after, all participants have the possibility to exchange views with the jurors within the framework of the “Meet the Jury” event.
