“15 – A review of the year’s events in posters” in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen
From 30 January until 5 February 2016, visitors discover the exhibition „15 – A review of the year’s events in posters” (15 – Ein Jahresrückblick in Plakaten) in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen. Political happenings and personal experiences had a formative influence on the year 2015. In the exhibition, award-winning designers deal with this in a visual way. 26 creatives are featured, among them renowned designers such as Erik Spiekermann, Andreas Uebele and Fons Hickmann, to name but a few.
“15” honours the poster as a cultural property and is moreover dedicated to a good cause: All of the works will be sold in a limited edition. For domestic and abroad projects, the proceeds go to UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe. The posters cost 50 euros each and are available on-site in the Red Dot Design Museum’s shop or in the online shop at www.fuenfzehn.org from 29 January.
The benefit exhibition “15” is an initiative by ONEWORX from Essen, Germany. The 10-members team works in the disciplines of design and web development for national and international clients from various industries. Matthias Hohmann, communication designer at ONEWORX, curated the exhibition. It aims at showing that designers can give aid with their work.
