Windows of Oriental Elegance

Artfully crafted latticework in windows is characteristic of traditional Chinese architecture. However, these windows are gradually disappearing as old houses are increasingly replaced by prosaic modern buildings. “Windows of Oriental Elegance” aims to highlight the beauty of the traditional crafts by employing different media and offering tactile experiences. A book with movable and stamped-out elements presents different types of lattice windows, while a 3D desk calendar illustrates the spatial effect of the framework. Furthermore, a set of stamps invites users to design their own lattice patterns.
