Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the mask requirement that came with it, many glasses wearers suffer from pain behind their ears caused by the constant wearing of the face mask. The 3D-printed Gogh glasses were developed to provide relief. A specially designed groove line that adjusts itself to the shape of the ear directs the mask strap away from the ear at the temple end, reducing additional pressure points. The mask strap can be easily inserted into the groove for easy handling.

With these glasses, the societal benefit plays an overriding role. A design detail makes wearing a protective face mask more comfortable for glasses wearers and thus increases health protection.
