The surprise of Cut-Y is the interplay between “depth” and “surface”. The result is a sideboard that plays on contrasts. Closed and open components, generous surfaces and small niches, light and shade all alternate. In order to make the play with depth succeed, oblique body modules come into play. If these slanted components are combined, open recesses full of nooks and crannies appear. All components of a row can furthermore be combined at will.
