wyd is a new video commerce platform launched by a leading TV home shopping service in South Korea. The brand design is inspired by the witty journal-like e-commerce experience through life logs with informative and direct communication between content makers and individual consumers. By using forms derived from the “Record”, “Play” and “Pause” buttons, the basic functions of a video player, the overall design emphasises the characteristics of video commerce. In addition, with diverse shapes and the initial letter “w”, it creates the look of a trend-oriented platform for fans of self-produced videos.
